Varsity XC and Track all 3 years there. Made it to the State Championships as an individual all 3 years.
Had a 2 mile PR of 9:08. College:
Ran XC and Track at Mesa College in San Diego before transferring to CSU-Long Beach where he also ran XC and Track.
Earned his degree in Industrial Design. Had a 5000 meter PR of
14:21 (that’s about 4:37 per mile for over 3 miles….yikes!). Had a 10K (6.2 miles) PR of 30:24. Post College:
Works as a product designer in Huntington Beach, CA. Still runs competitively for Team Runner’s
High. Recently finished in the top 50 in the Los Angeles Marathon (with well over 20,000 finishers). Favorite Movie:
Stripes, Juno, Without Limits Favorite Musician/Band: U2, Coldplay, AC/DC Favorite XC course/race: Mt. SAC, Carlsbad 5000, Morley Field (in San Diego, still holds the course record to
this day….they changed the course…so this record is permanent).

Varsity XC and Track all 4 years. Captain of 1996 CIF Championship XC team. 3 mile PR
of 15:56. College: Harvey Mudd College (Mathematics) and Claremont Graduate University (Teacher Education).
Ran XC and Track for CMS (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps). Studied math in Budapest, Hungary for a semester. Post College:
Taught for 4 years at a middle school in Diamond Bar, CA. Coached XC, Basketball, Track, and Soccer.
Has taught math at Poly since fall of 2005. Was assistant coach for the boys’ XC team for
2 years as well as for the distance track runners. Is currently the head coach of the girls’ XC team
and the distance track runners (along with Coach Fillipow, the boys’ XC coach). Favorite Movies: Napolean Dynamite,
